Yes, it’s nice that when someone signs up for an NBC Profile that one gets 3 free credits to watch locked content. Here’s how it describes this nice benefit for creating a new account:
From the FAQ page at nbc.com (as of 7/01/18)—
What are the benefits of signing up for an NBC Profile?
When you sign up for an NBC profile, you’ll get the following benefits:
- A seamless cross-device experience. Sign in and watch episodes and clips across all your devices.
- Continue watching episodes and clips right where you left off.
- Save your favorite shows and episodes.
- Get 3 free credits to watch locked content.
Where can I use my NBC Profile?
Currently, your NBC profile is available on NBC.com and the NBC App for:
Amazon Fire Tablet
Amazon Fire TV
But, after using up those 3 free credits, how does one go about getting more? That information is rather elusive.
Sure, it’s nice that once an episode is unlocked by a credit, it will remain unlocked for all devices. And, credits don’t expire. But, what if someone wants more nbc.com credits?
This blog post investigates how to get more credits. When we find more info, we will post it here.
The FAQs about credits doesn’t reveal how to get more, yet.

One Way to Get More Credits
In a private direct message, I sent my email via DM and someone from their team said:
Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. Because you posted such a great tweet, we’ve added 10 more credits to your account. Happy watching!
Your mileage may vary. Thank you NBC!
For the record, also tried to contact NBC via their contact form. I did get an automated email from Zendesk. But I have not yet received any replies.
